Student Illness

The most effective way to prevent the spread of germs and disease is hand washing.  In an effort to maintain a healthy environment for all, students should not come to school with the any of the following conditions:

  • Fever of 100 or greater within previous 24 hours
  • Vomiting or diarrhea within the previous 24 hours
  • If student was started on antibiotics for any reason, they should complete 24 hours of treatment before returning to school unless otherwise directed by physician and indicated by a note for the school.

Please report if your student has Lice, Chickenpox, Strep Throat, Impetigo, Influenza, Conjunctivitis or any other communicable disease immediately.  Other students, families and staff may need to be notified but the student's name will remain confidential.

*Please remember that students who treat a fever with medication and then come to school pose a health risk to other students.
